About Us

Created on September 19, 2012 at 3:05 pm by MirrorlessCentral

Mirrorless Central was created to be a one stop information source where you can research your favorite mirrorless cameras and stay up to date with all the latest news, information, rumors and previews of all the newest cameras and gear via the videos posted here.

Sorry – No DSLRs Here…

We believe that in the next few years, more and more people will be moving away from large, bulky and complicated DSLR camera systems and move towards smaller, lighter, less expensive, yet powerful and highly sophisticated mirrorless camera systems that will usher in a new era of “Hybrid Imaging.”  That is to say that these new cameras will provide you with superior quality still photos AND incredible, high resolution HD Video, all from the same camera.  With more and more manufacturers recognizing the potential of this new category in imaging, there have been major advancements in sensor technology, auto-focus speeds and image stabilization while lens quality and availability have also increased… and we’ll see even more high quality glass in the near future as 3rd party manufacturers jump on the band wagon.

For that reason, we have dedicated this website exclusively to mirrorless imaging and will feature only mirrorless cameras, lenses, accessories and gear (unless we’re comparing a mirrorless system to a DSLR).

Watch the videos and be sure to read the descriptions below each one, because we’ll often add our own two cents to the commentary from each reviewer (we don’t always agree with what they have to say ~_^ ).  We’ll also recommend other camera systems in varying price ranges that also might interest you from time to time, as well as accessories and other gear.

We invite you to leave us a note in the comments section of any post and we hope that this website can be of service to you.

Wishing you a Picture Perfect Day!

Hey fellas!
Will Crockett here. LOVE your info here, we are working with plenty of the manufacturers on the “migration to mirrorless. I would be more than happy to work with you on a project or two? Also, can I get you a custom edit of the cool GH3 piece we did with Panasonic?

Thanks, Will!

Love your content and would be honored to include anything you have on our site.
