Since it’s launch in September of 2012, the Panasonic Lumix GH3 has been receiving hoards of positive reviews and praise from both photo and video professionals the world over. There’s no doubt that the GH3 is a top caliber camera, but is it the best mirrorless camera ever?
Popular Photography Magazine thinks so, and they’re featuring the Lumix GH3 on the cover of their latest issue (see below)
G on the GH3
MC Contributor Giulio Sciorio wrote the following in an article on SmallCameraBigPicture.com
Pop Photo is calling the Panasonic Lumix GH3 the best mirrorless camera to date, and I have to agree.
“The level of customization- and integration of hard buttons and touch screen capability- is unrivaled in the camera world.” — Pop Photo
Since getting the GH3 I’ve been shooting it and the G5 exclusively.
Me on the GH3
The Panasonic Lumix GH3 is the first truly pro level mirrorless camera system, and it’s performance while in the hands of critical shooters and techie laboratory pixel pokers alike have proven it to be one of the best cameras in existence. While some cameras can match it’s performance in still images, and others can match it’s performance as a video camera, there are none that can do both as well as the Panasonic GH3, which is why we believe that it’s the top hybrid camera on the planet today.
Furthermore, the GH3 (along with the Sony NEX 5R, Sony NEX 6 and a handful of others) is one of the few cameras that offer Wi-Fi capabilities such as wireless sharing and remote control via your smart devices, as demonstrated in the video above by our good friend Mark Toal (you can read Mark’s article on Wi-Fi shooting with the GH3 here). While Wi-Fi is the exception today, look for it to become the norm in the near future and consider the GH3’s wireless integration to be another sign that this camera is leading the pack.
