Adobe Photoshop Touch is a popular app among users of Tablet Devices because it allows them to edit their images using a Photoshop package closer to that available on a laptop or desktop. Until now however, users of smartphones have been restricted to the much more limited Photoshop Express application. But not anymore…
Adobe have heard the cries of the masses clamoring for all of the Photoshop goodness on their smartphones, and they have released Photoshop Touch for Mobile.
Photoshop Touch includes features that you’re accustomed to from the full blown version, such as layers, selection tools, filters, and the ability to adjust color and tone. With the Refine Edge tool, you can add text and apply effects; and you can automatically synch your work to Adobe’s Creative Cloud using the 2GB of free storage that comes with it. There’s also a 400% touch-zoom function, so working on your smartphone’s smaller screen becomes a breeze.
Photoshop Touch looks like a great solution for those who want to edit on the go. I’ve just downloaded it myself and have started playing around with it, so look for a full review coming soon. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if an app like Photoshop Touch can dominate the mobile editing space like it’s big brother has in the computer realm.
Get Photoshop Touch from the Apple App Store or Google Play, suitable for iOS devices running iOS 5, the iPhone 4S, and fifth generation iPod Touch; Android phones must run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later
